NEW TAS Conference Oct 18 2025!
ACSE is pleased to announce a TAS Teachers Conference on October 18th, 2025!
Are you teaching the new Technology and the Skilled Trades (TAS) curriculum and looking for practical, hands-on resources? TAS Teachers Conference is your chance to connect with fellow educators, explore ready-to-use classroom projects, and gain confidence teaching TAS — whether you’re experienced or newly assigned.
This one-day, in-person event is designed and delivered by teachers, for teachers.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to design and deliver lessons to support student projects using the Engineering Design Process as described in the TAS course
- Scaffolded electronics projects : lessons to establish fundamental knowledge and skills, simulating circuits using Tinkercad, breadboarding, and soldering – take home a fully functional soldered LED flasher kit that your students can complete in the classroom
- Scaffolded coding projects using block-based coding (Micro:bit / Makecode) and text-based alternatives (Python)
- How artificial intelligence can support teachers in the classroom
- Design projects: Measurement and 2D design (scaled drawings) and fabrication using Tinkercad and 3D printing
- Integrated projects that include coding, robotics and design
- Low-tech build projects for any classroom
- Ideas that support both strands A and B of the curriculum
